  27. This may be the very reason that we DON'T see professional DVC cameras
  28. anytime soon...if you were a multi-billion dollar video hardware
  29. manufacturer and you were selling high-end equipment that cost between
  30. $10K to $50K, would you really be all that eager to release a product that
  31. directly competes with this high-end equipment and costs half (or less) as
  32. much??

  34. Hopefully Sony will recognize the fact that a professional, affordable DVC
  35. camera will sell a hell of a lot faster than the Beta equipment that we
  36. all craze....greater volume sales SHOULD equal greater profit.

  38. All I know is that I want a camera/editing setup that will allow me to
  39. grab professional quality footage, manipulate it with LightWave, and lay
  40. it back out to tape with NO DEGRADATION in image quality.  A year or two
  41. ago this would have been pure fantasy, but now....
